SPEAKERS
Klaus Goebel, IBM Germany
Klaus is the z/VSE Systems Manager with worldwide responsibility for z/VSE system software and corresponding middleware. He joined IBM in 1985 and since then has worked on several mainframe projects. Under Klaus’ leadership, VSE/ESA got rebranded into z/VSE, its PIE strategy including connectors to other platforms got established, and the new software pricing metric for z/VSE V4 and major middleware got launched. Klaus is based in the IBM Research & Development Laboratory in Boeblingen, Germany, which is the home of z/VSE development. Besides focusing on z/VSE and VM/VSE, Klaus also worked as Linux Technical Sales Enablement Manager for Europe for more than 4years. Klaus is an IBM certified Executive Project Manager. He holds a master degree in Math and a Ph.D. in Physics.
Wilhelm Mild, IBM Germany
Wilhelm Mild is an IBM Certified and Open Group Master Certified IT Integration Architect in IBM Laboratory, Boeblingen, Germany. After the university of Computing Science, more than a decade was dedicated to VSE/VSAM development and data management, documented in Redbooks he worked on. He's now designing solution architectures for heterogeneous environments with z/VSE, z/VM, and Linux on system z. Wilhelm is teaching workshops and is a speaker in many international conferences and customer events.
